They use a root to make a drink. Tasted a lot like dirty dishwater! It's quite the ritual. Everyone had to be silent (that about killed me)... hats had to be off. They say it's narcotic, but no one that tried it noticed much more than numbness in their lips or tongue.
Hmmmmm, how would you know what dirty dish water tastes like.
