Denerau Golf and Raquet Club

We play 18 holes of golf here. The 15th hole was beautiful. It's the one w/the view of the sea!

You had to avoid coconuts w/the cart. The puddle in the middle of the sand trap is exactly where Frank's ball landed. And of course, I could not resist snapping the picture of the banana tree! The biggest treat (other than the beer guy being very available) was the lady that brought frozen rolled up face cloths about 1/2 way through... it was a very hot day.

Fiji Fire Show

Watched this show the one night at the hilton on Denerau Island. It was much cooler than the pictures!

Wow, it was a dandy... rain and wind and lightening and hail and NO POWER!

If you want to feel old and slow, try taking pictures of lightening!

Frank's pet lizard

This guy live outside of Frank's office window. The guys have been told to stay away from him, that he's not nice. :)

To me, he looks like a snake w/legs...

close enough for me not to like him!

Sping flowers

They do have some very unusual flowers here and despite how dry it is, they are all in bloom!

Art (?) festival

We attended what was supposed to be the "largest art show in the area" yesterday.

it turned out to be a craft show where the one pub in the town was the most popular place!

they were busy cooking when we were there. The large pots are beef stew... it appeared to me as though they had enough to feed an army!
