BBQ at our House

We had a bbq at our house on Saturday. Fajitas, homemade salsa, chips and sponge cake w/whipped cream and fresh strawberries!

I know that I have put pictures of Wallabies in here before, but this momma and her little one were so cute, that I could not resist sharing.

She was hiding in some long grass and shrubs at Bunya Mountain park yesterday.

I got about 10' from her. At one point, she was not sure that she appreciated me and tried to hide the little one. The little one did not appreciate it much and poked it's head out anyway.

Blooming Queensland

We are just a few days from spring. Despite the lack of rain recently, everything is in bloom. I snapped these pictures on our trip through the mountains yesterday.

One pub town

At our party on Saturday, a local referred to a nearby town as a one pub town.

On our drive through the mountains yesterday, we actually found one!!!

It appeared to be the ONLY business in the town.

Another birthday has come and gone!

I had a great birthday. The weather was perfect... the dinner, prepared by Sheryl and Dan was excellent!
The best gift of all was that of being w/good friends!

Back in Dalby

We left Vancouver at 9PM Friday night and arrived Brisbane early morning on Sunday.
Flights were pretty much uneventful (which is a very good thing).

We came back to a lovely day of 33 degrees C and not a cloud in the sky. Summer is on the way...
